Bluefin-21

Leading the under-water search is australian search teams. Australia has been at the forefront of the search and has funded all the money to fund its search operations.However although they can take credit for leading the search effort it is mainly what they are using that is important.  The American made AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) Bluefin-21 has provided the search as a whole with the most efficient way to clear possible areas where the wreckage may be located.. Early on it was used to hear "pings" emmited by the airlines black box flight recorders. But since the search teams have declared that the flight recorders have since ceased to emmit these pings of 37.5KHz. Australia have made an official call upon the international community to provide financial aid to the search teams. This is in light of a new search are being announced which is expected to take a minimum of eight monts and $60million to complete. The search is now completeley focused on underwwater searches for wreckage after the official end of the ariel search in accordance with search and rescue protocol as any wreckage floating on the surface would be waterlogged and would have sank after this six week period. Early search

Almost two months on from the disaster and still their are no real details surrounding the crash. The only real information that comes out is that the Malasyian authorities are under constant criticism for the way they've handled the search.  We are now certain that flight MH370 is gone and is some where at the bottom of the Indian Ocean. The first thirty daysn of the search was mainly focused on finding the frequency emmitted by the planes black box. The batteries in the airlines two black box's have ran out, and the Recorders not been found and the signals emmited by them have ceased. Search officials are saying that they are more keen on retreaving the cock pit recorder box as it is most likely to tell if foul play was involved and so terrorism can be ruled out. The 'black box'" aboard the plane is regulated and manufactured and regulated by the EUROCAE or European Organisation for Civil Aviation Equipment. It is able to survive temperatures up to 1000 degrees celcius, and up to 3400g (Gravitational force.) so based on that itis reasonable to assume that they are still intact and so are able to be found.

Flight MH370

On the 8th of March 2014 Flight MH370 from Kuala Lumper on route to Beijing lost contact with air traffic control at 01:20 less than an hour after take off. The Malasyia Airlines Boeing 777-200Er had 12 crew and 227 passengers from 14 nations was reported missing at 07:24 some six hours later by Malasyia Airlines. This is under normal circumstances a shocking story.However i think that most people are so overcome with confusion and mystery that they dont really realise the devistation and horror felt by the families and the the country.  We live in an age where phones arent mobile their smart, tablets ar for computing not headaches. In this world with laptops phones, mp3 players and tablets all of which can be tracked by satellite, how can an aircraft full of such devices with 239 people on board just simply dissapear.
